Umar entered the financial services industry in 2015, driven by a passion for empowering clients with financial education and sound advice. His expertise extends to Shariah-compliant investing and financial planning, a niche yet often misunderstood market. With holistic and independent financial planning as his cornerstone, Umar provides individuals and businesses with investment planning, risk management, retirement and estate planning as well as short-term insurance advice.

At age 24, he was appointed a Key Individual where he was responsible for managing, overseeing and ensuring compliance with the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services (FAIS) Act. This role provided him with deep insight into leveraging the financial services industry to benefit and create meaningful change for the clients he and his team serve.

Umar has a BCom degree in Management Studies from the University of Cape Town. Beyond his professional career, he is an avid motorsport enthusiast, competing in high-performance motorcycle and car racing events across the country. He also enjoys travelling and cooking.
